This is a belated fathers day gift. He'd like to listen to music while working on this bulldozer (he's building a new hole on a golf course). I need him to be able to listen to music, but when his crew radio lights up, I need the music to stop. I would prefer it to be buttonless, at least the cut-out, he can manually turn the music himself. That make any sense?

Here are the parts I've found so far to suit my need.
1 - For the ear protection (and the AM/FM radio!). - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0013092CS/
2 - Case for earmuffs. - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0013092CS/
3- 3.5mm splitters (one for the radio, on the MP3 player). - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000067RC4/
4. - Here's a manual cutoff switch, I'll try to make it automatic - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005TE7GP4/

I'm going to try to integrate the MP3 player and the cutoff switch into the headphones. I'm also going to try to add a boom mic as well. I'm open to any and all ideas.

Any idea on the auto audio cutoff?

Cheers!
