I just received the Sparkfun Simultaneous RFID Reader, and some tags, and got it to work with an Arduino. However, I cannot get the ThingMagic Universal Reader Assistant to connect to the card in Windows-7. I am using an FTDI USB-to-Serial converter, which I know works and gives me a proper serial port, but the app will not connect. The error message when initially trying to connect is "Error connecting to reader: Invalid M6e response header, SCH not found in response". Subsequent attempts to connect give the error message "Error connecting to reader: packet size is too big". I have tried this on 2 Win-7 machines, both 32-bit and 64-bit, with the same results.
