I just purchased a SparkFun EL Sequencer and EL inverter 12V. In the El Sequencer description it says the following:
"Can be powered by a 3.7V Lipo battery (using 3V inverter), or an external 3.3V to 16V supply (using 3V or 12V inverter)"
Does this mean that my USB 5V power bank can power the SparkFun EL Sequencer? I thought I was going to have to carry around a 12V Battery but it would be great if I could use a combination of a USB power bank, 12V Inverter, and SparkFun EL Sequencer.
I would not have guessed that this was possible because I assume that the 12V inverter requires 12V. The line above that includes, "or an external 3.3V to 16V supply", made me want to ask if 5V would do it.
