I'm trying to set up a Sparkfun ESP8266 Thing, and it works beautifully, except I can't get pins 7 or 8 to work. Everything else seems to work fine, including WiFi, but when I try to set pinMode on 7 or 8 to OUTPUT or INPUT in Arduino, the Thing freezes after the program is uploaded and doesn't run the program. I unplugged my FTDI basic and connected other things to pins 7 and 8, reset the Thing, but no luck. I wonder if I have to do something to get the board to recognize that I'm not using the pins for RX1 or TX0...
