I'm currently running Guy Carpenter's excellent Gaugette library (https://github.com/clearwater/SwitecX25), which lets me attach a Switec X25 microstepper to four pins on (in the case) a Uno. No motor shield is required.

I'd like to replace the Uno with a MicroView, which would permit me to build an analog bicycle speedometer with an OLED display (for odometer, GPS info, and the like).

Do you think I can safely attach a Switec to a MicroView, or would that tax its current capabilities? I should mention that the Switec is mounted to a breakout board (from https://www.tindie.com/products/TheReng ... out-board/) that includes kickback diode protection.

Thanks!
