I am looking for any user experience / feedback about modules based on the nRF24L01+ IC by nordic semi. For example modules like the one listed below.

http://www.elecfreaks.com/wiki/index.ph ... PA_and_LNA

there are plenty of Chinese manufacturers making these modules.

I need to know are they reliable and is the specified range anywhere close to what we can hope to get on field. I have tested the modules, but I am planning these modules for a critical project and needed as much feedback about them as I can get.

Google is your friend: http://hallard.me/nrf24l01-real-life-range-test/ and I've seen also tests here on sparkfun.

If the system is really critical for your project, and the projects involves customers, money and the like, I think there is no real alternative to thoroughly understanding the Nordic datasheet, application notes and example layouts.

The chinese manufacturings give you zero warranty for FCC / EMC / lifetime / availability etc.
See http://www.ti.com/lit/an/swra060/swra060.pdf if you need to sell it somewhere.
Some countries have 10 mW limit and I'm not sure if the module you're using stays within that limit.

Google is for sure our friend...thanks for sharing that, useful info. I have gone through quite a bit of the documentation on Nordics site, but was looking for user experiences like the ones on the link u shared.

Chinese manufacturers is the primary reason I am even seeking out for these "user experiences" cant take their word for anything...
