Questions relating to designing PCBs

Hi,
What component can I use in my PCB schema to protect it from over current input? Say, if my MCU will be connected to other devices and they - in a case - take much current from MCU, can I use any component in design of PCB so that it cut off the power right when a lot of current is asked from inside, and then again return back to working state when such current is no more taken?

If this is a separate stabilizer PCB, could you please point me to a tutorial for a DIY schema?

Take a look at the Ruggeduino, it may have what you are looking for. Just look at the their schematics - http://ruggedcircuits.com/html/ruggeduino.html
