ADC help needed

hi all,

I need to develop an application in which i get the input from serial port, & after that using the sampling frequency of the system i need to convert that data from analog in digital. Can anyone tell me how this can be achieved or provide a sample code..

If you use an MCU with an ADC you can read the ADC and transmit the value via a serial port.
