No I meant select row 1 with chain1_cs to LOW and chain2_cs to HIGH, send your data for row 1, then bring chain1_cs to HIGH (stop transmitting) and chain2_cs to LOW and send the data for row 2. Wouldn't that work the same as having 2 spi's? Maybe it would be a little slower, but not by much.
