I am not sure what the pros and cons of different voltage regulators are(switching, linear, LDO, etc). I need a voltage regulator that can output atleast 5v 600ma. The most important requirement is for it to be very power efficient, since it will be battery powered. The package has to be DPAK or SOT-223.
I need some advice on what to look for in a voltage regulator.
497-1237-1-ND (I have not tested)
497-1440-5-ND (with a 9v battery, is loses about 0.03v an hour)
