Hello everyone!
The forums are finally getting some much needed TLC this week - new updates, new extensions, and most importantly: a new theme. Feel free to post any feedback / suggestions here.

Well that's different ! A bit easier on the eyes and easier to distinguish read from unread forums. I still think the SF logo at the top left should take you to the SF homepage, not the homepage of the forum. And I'd say while the forum does deal with a lot of MCU "ideas and support", there's more to it that just those items.

Oh, any chance we could get a Carnac smilie to use on those posts that ask indecipherable questions ?

Great ! That's 2 out of the 3 above !! When do we get a Carnac smilie ?

Something in the page layout forces it to be very wide and will not resize.

Still missing a "view new posts" from the display of new posts page (like a page reload), and from thread pages. I like to see what is new, read the post, then click on the "view new" and read the next post. Now it takes much more clicking.

I would love to see sparkFun available on tapatalk. For those that are unaware tapatalk is a mobile app for forum access. Adding support to the forum is free and would expand the potential user base as well. More information can be found here:

I searched the forums and it looked like there was a request for this a few years back but no one responded. I would love to see it added here.

Thanks!

Fixed - turns out our caching server, varnish, had a bit of a nasty bug which caused it to throw an occasional 503 with forum images.

Aaaah, nice squashing ! Bugs belong in your little sisters hair, not in caching servers.

I note that since the upgrade the newbie posts held for review show up marked as "read" even though I haven't read them. They used to show up, after their day or so in the review pen, as "unread". No biggie but they do tend to get lost in the background now.
