I'm new to arduino and was thinking about getting the SparkFun Inventor's Kit for Arduino ( http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/produc ... s_id=10173 ). Do I need any previous experience to work with it or will I learn everything from the information booklet they send? Also, how is it different from the regular starter kit ( http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/produc ... s_id=10174 )....there's definitely a $30 price difference.

It's designed for people with no previous experience so you should learn everything you need from the booklet. You can actually download the booklet before you buy the kit. If you do find anything that's not clear you can email tech support and it will be considered for a future update of the booklet.

The Inventor's Kit has more parts to play with and each component has a matching circuit in the booklet. So the difference is: more cool stuff.

I purchased the inventors kit a couple of weeks ago and I love it. I am a Software Engineer by profession, however, I had never touched any components or a soldering iron. I have found the kit to be an excellent introduction to electronics. Exactly what I was looking for.
