Discussions on how to get your MSP JTAG programmer up and running.

Hi,

I have a OLIMEX-JTAG-TINY Programmer for MSP430 Devices, but the (pretty new) Controllers I use (MSP430F2418 and MSP430F2618) are not included in the Controllerlist of the programming software.
Is it possible to choose a similar one of that list? If yes, which one?

Has anyone of you an idea an update of the programming software is contributed?

thanks,
luki

do you know if the ez430 can program those devices - supposedly it programs anything in 2xxx line.

Nop. Only the "low pin count" F2xx's have Spy-Bi-wire.

Not completely true. The F21x2 and F22x2/F22x4 series has Spy-Bi-Wire capability and they are 28+ pin with the JTAG pins also. Any part with a SBWTDIO and SBWTCK should work.

I call anything with 40 or less pins "low pin count".

Hi Luki,

I saw that Olimex recently put a new version of their programmer software online on their website. It includes msp430f2013 and maybe also your devices.

Good luck!

Best regards,
Marco
