I have a HEX file sent by someone that I would like to load into a custom board built around MSP430F122. I am using Olimex USB JTAG-TINY and IAR Embedded Workbench downloaded from TI website. I'm looking for step-by-step instructions on how to do this but cannot find anything in IAR documentation or Olimex website.[/b]

most of the tools are designed for debugging not production.. If you need something simple and stand alone you should get a production based unit like that by elpotronic, which comes with complete stand alone software..

actually we have stand alone programmer software which is in beta release and we'll upload on our web this week
it allows HEX code manipulation and programming in MSP430 without need for any other 3rd party software and supports all our JTAGs

The only stand alone software that I knew was from elprotronic (for their programmers and others)

Thanks for the replies. I downloaded the latest version of MSPFET from http://kurt.on.ufanet.ru/#about_fusee It works flawlessly with Olimex USB JTAG. Only thing you have to do is copy dll's that came with Olimex to the program's folder.
