MSP430 Launchpad Socket

hello everyone, I am relatively new to microcontrollers and have a query about the msp430 launchpad device. I intend to power the msp430 device via a plug socket charger, I tested it and it works fine. But my question is that I intend on leaving the device plugged in via socket for 7 to 8 hours each day indefinitely. Are there any safety issues involved in this set up, any information would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
