Ok, looks like I've run out of excuses. I have to start developing with the MSP430 now. Energia has made the MSP430 as easy as the AVR in Arduino, almost. Most basic things appear to be working and you can't tell from looking at your screen that your aren't working with an Arduino. Check out the supported hardware (3 chips at the moment) and the known issues page for further details.
