Hi, I am new at microcontrollers and I bought MSP430 Launchpad (MSP430G2231) a few weeks ago. I need a frequency counter of a signal and shows the result on 3 seven-segment displays. Should I use a second Launchpad for generate a signal and other Launchpad measures the frequency and shows on the displays? Or will one Launchpad be enough for this project? Can help me please? I will be very thankful...

yeah generating input frequency? One launchpad is enough or not? I thought I can use one launchpad for generating signal and use other launchpad to measure the frequency of the signal and displays it. Is it possible?

Yes, you can do that. I can't see the point of it, though, unless you want it as a learning experience.
