used above with a LPC H2148 board with the for dummies eclipse/openOCD download and also tried with crossworks. on OCD It recognized the dongle with when the target was attached but would never halt the board or connect and on crossworks it gave the error cannot recognize target. the debug jumper is in position and the board is powered. The demo program on the lpc header boards (i have two and tried with both) works when connected to a USB port so I am concluding that the boards are functional. I am beginning to wonder if the Jtag dongle is defective-though i am at a loss as to how to test this (the led on the dongle comes on)
