Hi,

I have purchased the MSP430-PIR module and MSP430-JTAG from sparkfun. I want to modify the firmware provided by ti.com for the application. I am not able to download the firmware to the MSP430f2013 in the PIR module using the JTAG connector. I am using IAR compiler.

Error message says - Emulator - "No device found .................."

Any suggestion would be appreciate.

Thanks in advance

Have you installed the drivers?

Hi Leon,

Thanks for your reply. I have installed the drivers. I also did test the MSP430-PIR board even by changing the jumper settings but nothing seems to work.

It is not able to detect the MSP430.

Thanks,

Which JTAG are you actually using?

I thought you might be using one of the USB units. It should just work, you don't need drivers for it.

The parallel jtag programmer doesn't support spy-bi-wire. You'll need at least the msp-jtag-tiny to program via spy-bi-wire.
