AT89S8252 device is write locked error!

Hi All

I built an ATMEL ISP ... I can read, erase the AT89S8252 device but I can write ... I am using the parallel port ... Please please please help ... I am good at PICs and Intel 80C51 but new to ISP and ATMEL :D ... I promise to supply virtual soda 4 the guys and virtual roses for the ladies ...

what is the circuit that you built?

The ISP circuits that are parallel port driven are not very reliable if the cable is too long.

Try plugging the programmer directly in the parallel port with no cable.

I can give you a really easy program, however I do not see any options to add files to upload to this forum.
