Weather Board - USB [SEN-10586]

The Weather board from Sparkfun is working except that when I monitor the output through any of the terminal programs like putty / coolterm, it sometimes stops sending the data. I have attached an external Maxim 1 wire temperature controller to the board also.
In my application, I am only comparing two temperature sensors [one inside the room] one outside and based on a temp difference I turn on a relay. I have outputing the data, with CSV option selected in the firmware.
Has any one seen this kind of behavior. Any help will greatly be appreciated.
