As an update, I got potoole all situated and his OpenLog is once again back to life. He had some configuration issues with Programmer's Notepad in Windows but I steered him in the right direction to tweak his configs and he was able to flash OpenLog with the version 1.2 firmware I compiled. So if anyone else encounters this problem with OpenLog, it looks like flashing to the latest version will do the trick. Good luck!
