I'm hooking up to a Pro-Mini. The FTDI board's drivers installed just fine - I uploaded and ran 'blink'. Next step - give it new fuse settings for the 8MHz (1MHz) internal RC clock. SO... I take my new Pocket Programmer (Pro-Mini NOT hooked up yet) and plug it in to the USB cable. The blue power and 'D-' LEDs light - with the 'D-' blinking off briefly a few times. Manual attempts to install the Pocket Programmer driver results in Windows steering me away from it and insisting on using the default 'usn.inf' driver. Resetting the PP while connected does what you'd expect - nothing different from initial plug-in. The device manager lists it with the yellow ! sign. My question to 'you who have had it work correctly'... What's SUPPOSED to happen here? (PS. My freq. counter shows a 12MHz on-the-nose osc.).

Never mind.
I thought it odd that the 'D+' LED never lit.
I haven't actually fixed it yet, but I'm going with 'bad contact in the USB header'.
