When creating any posts please refrain from including any personal information such as personal order numbers, addresses, full names, SparkFun customer IDs, etc. E-mail addresses are okay if you want them to be public. Just be sure and post your Email address in a way that is not recognizable by bots unless you enjoy receiving spam.

You should also always double check the photo or video you are about to include with your post and make sure no items of identification are present such as pieces of mail, packages with labels on them, credit cards, identity cards, etc. If a forum moderator sees any personal information anywhere on the public forums it will be removed.

If a user is breaking our user conduct terms of service, please private message TS-Feedback or any SparkFun Technical Support Moderator(SFE-TS-Moderator) as soon as possible.

If you have any feedback associated with the forums, please private message TS-Feedback and we will look into it as soon as possible.

Please read over the SparkFun terms of Service for more information as these rules also apply to our forums, especially Section V. User conduct:

"V. User Conduct
You agree that you, and not SparkFun, are solely responsible for all Content you post or otherwise submit to the SparkFun Website & SparkFun public Forums. SparkFun does not control user submitted Content and, as such, does not guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of such Content. You understand that by using the Site or Forums you may witness or otherwise be exposed to Content that is offensive, objectionable, or otherwise disagreeable.

As a condition of use, you promise not to use the Services for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms, or any other purpose not reasonably intended by SparkFun. Examples include, but are not limited to:

Abusing, harassing, threatening, or intimidating any person;
Posting Content that is in any way obscene, libelous, defamatory, offensive, profane, pornographic, infringes on the intellectual property of another person's work, or encourages the posting of such Content, or that constitutes or encourages conduct that would be considered a criminal offense or give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any law;
Using the Services for any purpose (including posting or viewing Content) that is not permitted under the laws of the jurisdiction where you use the Services;
Posting any communication or solicitation designed or intended to obtain password, account, or private information from any SparkFun user;
Creating unwanted 'spam' to any person or any URL;
Imposing an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure, as determined by the sole discretion of SparkFun, including interfering with the proper working of the Site or any activities conducted on the Site, or by automating the collection of data on the site without using SparkFun-provided machine-readable formats;
Posting Content including comments, reviews, forum posts, or votes, by using an automated tool for the mass-creation of content, or in exchange for receiving money, or any other organized effort that in any way artificially alters the Content of the Site;
Egregious advertising or soliciting any user to buy or sell any products or services from an entity other than SparkFun;
Selling your account.
You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users of the Site & Forums. SparkFun reserves the right (but is not obligated) to monitor disputes between users and take any necessary action to remediate violations to the Terms. This may be immediate and may include without limitation, the immediate removal of the related materials from the Site, forums, and/or the suspension or deletion of all associated user accounts.

We will fully cooperate with any law enforcement authorities who provide a court order or subpoena requesting or directing us to disclose the identity of anyone posting such materials. For more details see the Guidelines for Law Enforcement."

Basically,
You cannot use our site or Forums to harass people, post offensive stuff, or post spam. You can scrape us using APIs we provide, but don't try to slam our servers too hard or you'll be blocked.
