Title says it all, I think it would be awesome if SFE became a US distributer for the Prusa 3D printer. I wanted a Taz 6 while I was in college but could not afford the $2500 price tag. The Prusa is much more affordable making it more in line with SFE's mission of making this type of stuff accessible. Even as a full time EE I decided the Taz 6 was way too expensive plus it hasn't been updated in over a year and a half now. The Prusa is a solid and innovative product with a huge community and receives periodic updates almost every 6 months or so - plus it uses easy to find 1.75mm filament.

if you are new to 3D printer . Prusa i3 is definitely enough for you . most objects won’t be over 20cmx20cm , even they do . they usually can be seperated into many parts for you to print .

Prusa is really great, and not only for starters. Well worth the quality for the price
