Edison Block microUSB in + 2-3 full-size USB host outputs

I was wondering if it would be possible to create an Edison Block with 1 microUSB input providing power and a serial console (like the top port on the mini breakout board) and 2-3 full-size USB host ports for peripherals. You would obviously need a hub chip (since the Edison has only one USB out). So I'm basically looking for a way to plug some regular USB peripherals (3G modems, webcams, etc) into the Edison without using an external hub and power it at the same time via microUSB.
