Telit SE880 GPS Module

Post by jorisa » Sat Jan 11, 2014 11:16 am

I recently got a Venus GPS module to integrate on my own PCB, but it's rather big, expensive and difficult to source.
It looks like Telis has a super sweet GPS chip, the SE880:

Key Benefits
- Supports AGPS using Extended Ephemeris injection as well as Extended Ephemeris on-board generation for fastest TTFF
- Easy integration in cellular/GNSS bundle solutions combined with Telit cellular modules
- Miniature 4.7x4.7mm QFN form factor for compact devices and wearable technology
- Ultra sensitive receiver for challenging environments such as urban canyons

Best of all:
- Only ~$10
- Available through traditional distributors as well: http://octopart.com/parts/manufacturer- ... ch?q=se880

I think this would make a super awesome breakout board!

$10.32 @ Q 100 pricing.
$13.75 single Q.
Design the breakout board, sell it yourself...
I ignore "one post wonders".
