Hi guys,
I'm building a really small AUV (autonomous underwater vehicle), and I'm going to put a six axis IMU inside it. The space available is in the nosecone, and it is a cylinder 0.75" diameter and 1" long.
Now, I can fit in there:
- 5 DOF breakout board
- ADXRS breakout board, upside down, below it
- small custom board with I2C 12 bit 12 channel A/D, plus a honeywell 2 axis digital compass sensor (HMC6352). I have to use a voltage divider on the ADXRS rate output, since its 5 volts, and everything else is 3.3 volts, but that's no big deal
I may replace the 2 axis compass chip with a 3-axis mag, and just do the whole integration thing on the ARM with a Kalman filter.
Anyways, it would be cool if you could take your 5 DOF breakout board, and add an ADXRS to the bottom of that board...
