Good idea - unfortunately, we don't have a clue how to do audio.

National Semi has some crazy stuff for hand held devices. Almost 2W on a 5V supply. Unbelievable.

Just a little FYI - Small Bear mainly sells the components that the other websites develop the circuits for, but they do have a couple of projects of their own. Check out these sites if you want to go deeper into the effects stuff:

http://www.geofex.com
http://www.generalguitargadgets.com
http://www.tonepad.com
http://www.amz.com
http://www.diystompboxes

These are all really good sites. I think either AMZ or DIY Stompboxes have pretty decent introductory projects for you to start on. Small Bear has kits for all of these sites' projects as far as I know.

One other place that has a little guitar stuff is http://sound.westhost.com, AKA ESP. It's mainly HiFi-type stuff, but there are some really great articles on there and he goes way in depth on all of the projects. A great place to audio noobs in general.
