Should SparkFun sell a TQFP or QFN version of the AVR ISP?

AVR ISP shield with SMD socket

Post by Max » Tue Oct 30, 2012 8:37 am

I discovered the AVR ISP Shield - PTH Kit today, and I really like the idea.

I suggest SparkFun make a version of the AVR ISP Shield that has a socket for TQFP and/or QFN instead of the DIP socket.

More Atmel microntrollers are available by far that use a SMD package than there are that offer DIP packages, so offering a SMD version if the AVR ISP shield would make sense.
