There are the breakout boards recently made available, but I'd like to obtain some of the IMU-3000 chips by themselves!

too bad their shipping for international countries is ridiculous (more than 50 bucks USD!) So i'd rather buy from sparkfun.

Ah, that's not so good. You could always use a re-mailing service in USA to reduce the cost - this can be good for ordering other stuff where the vendor won't ship to your country (eg from Amazon).
