16 button pad with bi-color leds for a MIDI sequencer?#114119

Guys, the 4x4 led/button pad is great, BUT, if I need 16x1 I would have to purchase 4 * 4x4 which makes things too expensive for the project I want to release.

So I wonder, would it be possible to make a 16x1 bi-color (or even single color) button pad?

YES! PLEASE!

or RGB LEDs

Should not be much more expensive than the 4x4 ones depending on availability of the silicone parts.

I have been wanting this exact thing for a while, though I have not bought much from SFE and all my forum posts are for new product ideas

..anyway back on topic, these would really be great.

They work pretty well, but lacks the finishing touch that the sparkfun solution has.
