There are good temerature and humidity sensors from www.Sensirion.com
The SHT75 in particular is very accurate and should be easily read with a micro. You could also sell adapter board for the SHT75.

You could also look at sensore from www.smartec.nl

Hope these are useful.

Looks cool! I'll email them a request.

There are already two US distros. Let's hope they need a mid-USA rep as well.

A simple 1-wire humidity + temp sensor can abe also made with a Dallas Semi's DS2438 + Honeywell's HIH3610. The whole thing can be bus powered and several of them can be hooked up. IIRC sensormag had an article on building the 1-wire humidity module sometime back.

What's the advantage of using the DS2438 Smart Battery Monitor (which happens to also have a temp sensor) over the DS18S20 Temperature Sensor?

Hello Mike

The DS2438 can be used as a single channel ADC, along with a built in temp sensor whereas the DS18S20 is just a temp sensor.

Wow, that's pretty cool. Too bad they didn't put a temp sensor on the DS2450 (quad ADC).

Well, for the DS2450, you can add in the DS18S20 in the same MicroLAN/1-Wire line and select the device to read from all via software, quite elegant isn't it ;-)
