I have found that for more demanding work, the current resolution of the compass and accelerometer modules is very low.
Are there any plans to make the accelerometers available with a 14 or 16 bit resolution?
Perhaps even use the 1-wire A/D converter from maxim to save I/O pins.
Maxim's new 24bit A/D might also be a nice idea for extremely demanding solutions as well...
It all depends though on the resolution of the analog chip... Maybe use the new ones from AD? They come in pretty nice prices, have nice resolution and even can have a straight angle-o-meter.
