I came across a couple of interesting projects. They combine an Arduino-compatible ATmega with an RFM12 315/433/868/915MHZ RF module.
The JeeNode (http://news.jeelabs.org/docs/jn3.html), JeeLink (http://news.jeelabs.org/docs/jl1.html) and Strobit (http://blog.strobotics.com.au/topics/em ... -embedded/).
I'm not so interested in the projects themselves (although they're very well done) as much as the RFM12 RF module (http://www.hoperf.com/pro/rfm12.html). Since the manufacturer is located in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China, it makes it little awkward to order a few modules for testing.
Perhaps Sparkfun could consider carrying their module or perhaps someone knows of a more convenient distributor.
Any comments?
