Maybe Spark Fun could sell some 802.11b Wireless LAN modules? It would be cool to have a project that can access your wireless network. Also you could updrade firmware with a bootloader (maybe NetBloader :wink: ) through a wireless network.

RS232<->802.11b that's cool, it probably would be easy to implament a boot loader with that. For tranfering large amounts of data an 8 or 16bit bus (like this: Xserves ) would be better but i've seen others that talk Secure Digital I/O.
