PCB connectors for iPhone and Android lightning and USB

I built an Arduino-based near-infrared scanner that I want to plug into my iPhone like a tricorder. Is there a Sparkfun or other component that would allow me to solder an onboard connector that works like this Square card reader, with support for Lightening, audio (for older iPhones), and USB (for Android)? e.g. https://squareup.com/shop/hardware/us/en/products/free-credit-card-reader

Apologies for the ultra noob question--trying to get my bearings.

I'll answer my own question: don't try to do this. Use Bluetooth instead.
