Where's all the USB-C?

Why aren't we seeing USB type C gear like dev kits, Arduino, etc? It is an extremely flexible and capable port that would enable a new wave of creative projects.

No interest.

According to Wikipedia
A device that implements USB-C does not necessarily support USB 3.1, USB Power Delivery, or Alternate Mode.
