Physical store to check out items?

Post by sarahmcd » Sat Jan 24, 2015 3:01 pm

I'm planning on ordering some things for a few new projects, but wondering if there are any stores (in person, not online) that people would recommend that have a selection of these types of items to check out in person. I'm looking mainly at: arduino, gps, fingerprint, biometric sensors, conductive thread and fabric -- I would like to get a sense for the feel and shape of some things as I'm low-fidelity prototyping the industrial design, before I order stuff to make a working proto. Any tips? I'm in the Bay Area, or Seattle would work too.
Thank you!

There are lots of retail stores selling Sparkfun products. You may want to email customer service as the employees don't frequent the forums very much. The only store front I know about is at Sparkfun's HQ in Colorado.
Available for circuit and PCB design, just PM me!
