Delta Robot motion board

Hi group, this my first post so if I'm in the wrong section just let me know!

I want to use Sparkfun components to put together a motion feedback system for an industrial delta robot I'm working on. It's an ABB Robotics IRB360. It has a cylindrical work envelope of 1600mm and payload capacity up to 6kg. The best part is the +/- 10G acceleration on moves.

I envision an arduino or RasPi controller, with 3-axis accelerometer, and 3 pressure transducers which can detect high-frequency changes in pressure or vacuum. This system would communicate wirelessly. I'll mount it directly to the robot end effector (delta plate). Goal is to get real time feedback on robot motion and gripper pressure (to see if the target part got picked, and measure the time delay between valve actuation and grip pressure change.)

any suggestions from the community?

thx, dave
