Sos button project

Hi everybody, I'm new on this forum. I'm a student in Italy, I like electronic and programming but I've no experience in it.
I'm trying to figure out how to do a prototype for my school project; make a very small SOS button that starts a call/send sms from a smartphone.

I found the sparkfun esp32 and seem it could suits my idea. Than my question starts:
1. I saw that it could be powered by lipo battery, that's cool, but I need to have a small battery, like 3.3 v coin cell battery, and i wonder if it's possible.
2. Which others components I need to?
-FTDI is integrated, right?
-Perf board? LM317? Capacitors? Bergstik? Push button? Some wires? ...
I really need a list, because I can't understand it :(
3. Is this project possible? Can this module connect with smartphone to remote control it, or only vice-versa?

Ok, this is my main questions about hardware part. Then, I know, there is the programming part with software Arduino IDE or similar... but for now, I need to focus on this first part. Thank you so much for your time, I really appreciate help. Have a nice day ;)

Edoardo

I seriously doubt that a coil cell battery will be sufficient to power your project.
this article https://www.sparkfun.com/news/2017 says "in my experience, it needs a pretty hefty supply".

Uh, this could be a problem, do you know other small way to power up it?
About other components?

Thank you so much
