Hello, I am looking for some help on how to make an existing gauge in my metal detector activate with a sound module with as little a footprint as possible. I want to re-purpose the gauge so when music plays it is detected and the needle reacts, it doesn't have to be super accurate I just want it to react like its detecting the music. I would assume I would need to use the SparkFun Sound Detector . I have measured the gauge with my meter set to ohms and it reads at 645.8 ohms if that matters and here is what it looks like and what i believe to be the schematic for the metal detector before I removed the gauge.
