I'm building up a parts list to assemble an array of high powered RGB LEDs. I'm looking at both .35A and .7A RGBs and wondering if driving a .7A RGB at 1/2 with PWM is roughly the same as a .35A RGB at full voltage? I know intensity is not linear and wonder about power consumption too. Basically I'd opt for the higher power RGBs if I can get the same light intensity as lower power RGBs at a lower power consumption. The thing is I have no idea how bright I want these so the higher power RBGs will give me some more flexibility, if I can just run them at lower power via PWM.

Another question: Would 2 RGBs at 10W be roughly equivalent to 4 RGBs at 10W in terms of light intensity, distribution etc? In other words, to maximize light and minimize power should I opt for more or less RGBs at the same wattage?

Thanks
