What I'm thinking about doing is modding a servo by gluing the potentiometer in place (as if to do a 360 rotation mod) but leaving in the mechanical stops. The idea is to have speed control, but limit the range of motion. Has anybody tried this? Am I likely to break the motor when I run into the mechanical stop? I'm using an HS-422 if that matters.
