Hi
I have a 33ft camera crane that I thought I would modify to add remote focus and zoom controll. The unit has 2 focus controllers (lanc and usb) but since I only film with prime lenses and not motorized I need an external focus puller. What I was hoping to do was repurpose the USB connected puller to controll 2 servos via a servo controller (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/9664)
This is what my focus puller looks like:
Now I just have to take the unit appart and see what they have used and how the signal out on the USB works. Steep learning curve and I might just remove the innards and replace with an arduino to make it a bit easier to controll.
Any suggestions are welcome. Will uppdate as I go
