Hey all,

A friend of mine sent me an Arduino Nano knock off and a 2003 unipolar driver breakout board. He also informed me of the availability of software for the Mac to write and install code to the Nano. In less time than it would have taken me to just lay out a discreet component driver I had the little beast up and running. I used an LM 340 T - 7805 powered from our battery bank on a scrap heat sink and a little 12 volt muffin fan. The regular stays as cools as can be. I know I have been stubborn about the microprocessor side of this, but now I am convinced. If I can learn the coding I am going to be wasting all sorts of time. I also need to understand all of the pins, and which do what, but that should be fairly easy. Anyway, below is a link to a short video I shot of the setup which my buddy programmed to turn at one RPM. Yeah, it's and "I told ya so" moment.
