I'm using the piezo sensor (SEN-10293) to make a knock sensor like the one in the arduino tutorial (http://www.arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/Knock) on a steel plate. What would be the best way to adhere these sensors to steel without affecting the performance? Also would any sort of amplifying be required?

We use "superglue" where I work to secure accelerometers to the test points.
