Stanchion Locations

I didn't see anything in the rules about the purpose of the red stanchions. It appears from videos of 2014 AVC, that the red stanchions mark the boundaries the course and the yellow ones mark the corners. Does that sound right?

Also, are the stanchions only used to mark the interior of the course or are they marking the exterior as well? Lastly, this may sound nitpicky but I'm just double checking here... It looked like the "mast" part of the stanchions was a different color than the base in 2014. But the 2015 rules show them as all one color. So, will they be one color or two like in the past?

Hello again! Here's the information I received back:

The stanchions are the same as last year, red are the boundaries, yellow are the corners. The stanchions only define the inner boundaries, not the outside of the course. The red stanchions have a red base and a black pole, the yellow ones are all yellow.

Let me know if you have any other questions! :)
