I'm planning to enter the AVC this year, and trying to figure out how to handle the logistics in an affordable way.

I'll be flying into Denver (from San Jose, CA) and renting a car. I'll fly there on the 19th and back on the 22nd.

It looks like there is some primitive tent camping available at Buckingham Park, which is not too far away, but it is first-come first-served only, so no assurance that it will be available.

Has anyone else tried to camp somewhere reasonably close to the Boulder Reservoir, or have tips about where to stay nearby? Any affordable yurt camping available nearby?

Also, if anyone wants to share a rental car or other costs, I would be open to that.

Happy robot building!

Thanks for the offer!

I won't be able to take you up on it though, because my plans have changed since then. My wife is going to be my AVC teammate, and she's not into roughing it quite as much as I am, so we're staying at "Boulder Twin Lakes Inn."

See you at the AVC!
