Now, I have been following SparkFun's updates on Facebook for a while now after a friend of mine(you might recognize him as the blue dragon from some of the caption contests) got me at least more interested in electronics. I know circuit analysis and some basic wiring techniques.

Now, I saw the Free Day post and was now intrigued.

I am more than willing to read all the tutorials that were mentioned on the Facebook post to get some cool stuff, but how exactly does it all go down? Or, at least, how did it work last year? When were you asked the question? at checkout or something? Would someone mind explaining how it works to me?
